As the Senior Vice President of Plant Research & Development, Jenna is committed to enhancing human nutrition by leveraging the relationship between plant biology, ag-tech innovations, and food. Her R&D her organization envisions and creates innovative solutions to yield consistent, flavorful, and fresh produce in diverse climates, all while optimizing resource efficiency. Her background in nutrition and physiology has helped shaped the trajectory of the organization and inspired a broader conversation on sustainable agriculture, health, and the pivotal role of nutrition in shaping a healthier world.

In the years leading up to Sensei Ag, science and nutrition was the underpinning of a career that included medical dietetics; academia and research; the food industry and commodity food associations; media and communications; and vertical farming. She worked in oncology, home infusion, and HIV/AIDS; was a professor at The Ohio State University; and as an executive at Pollock Communications helped launch and grow iconic health and wellness brands in major food companies (Unilever, PepsiCo., Danone North American, and Nestlé, PepsiCo, Inc.) along with commodities like cranberries, dried peas/beans/legumes, rice, and tea. 

 A registered dietitian with a PhD in Human Health & Performance, she is a published author, leader in the dietetic community, two-time Ironman Finisher, and mom.
